Provincial Collaboration

Through local, regional and provincial collaboration, Better at Home identifies better ways to integrate Better at Home services with existing support services for seniors within the spectrum of care, including medical, non-medical, and social services.

Better at Home’s approach to collaboration includes the following actions and deliverables:

  • recommend on integrated approaches and continuum of services to support the ultimate goals of Better at Home.  These recommendations emerge from consultation with provincial- and community-level stakeholders regarding ways to strengthen integration within the seniors sector
  • build linkages with other seniors programs and services – including the health authorities – ensuring that Better at Home is better integrated into the existing network
  • investigate ways to strengthen the seniors sector, while preventing duplication, and improve identification of seniors’ needs for services that support them to remain independent and connected to community
