Celebrating our Successes: Third Annual Better at Home Provincial Meetup!

October 14th, 2015

October 1st and 2nd marked United Way’s third annual Better at Home Provincial Meetup, held at the Hilton Vancouver Metrotown in Burnaby, BC!

Ninety-six Better at Home program representatives attended from our funded programs across the province, including the rural and remote pilot communities.

Participants attended peer-led expert workshops and applied training sessions, gathered and shared local and provincial updates with other program coordinators, discussed best practices and emerging needs of an aging population, and celebrated the success of Better at Home over the past three years.

“It was an inspiring few days,” said Kahir Lalji, Better at Home’s new provincial program manager. “Coming together to support one another showed our shared dedication to Better at Home and our commitment to serving the seniors in BC.”

Better at Home is funded by the Government of British Columbia and managed by the United Way of the Lower Mainland.
