UWLM is requesting proposals to evaluate the impact of BH programs across British Columbia. The evaluation framework will focus on 61 or the 67 BH program sites, and where necessary the associated sub-communities, and be designed to examine and report on the context, implementation, service delivery model and overall impact(s) of BH on the seniors, families/caregivers, organizations and communities they serve.

Better at Home strives to ensure access to services to a diverse range of seniors and elders in BC. A BH First Nation Strategy proposes to develop an approach for delivering non-medical home supports to First Nations older adults in a way that works best for their unique circumstances.

The Better at Home 2015/2016 Annual Report is now available on our website. Funded by the Government of British Columbia and managed by the United Way of the Lower Mainland, Better at Home provides non-medical home support services to help seniors age with dignity in their own homes and communities. In 2015/2016, local programs grew to reach over 15,000 seniors in urban and rural communities across B.C.

The ‘WIDDH Better at Home Project’ will provide transportation and friendly visiting services to Deaf and Hard of Hearing (HoH) seniors and assist them in living independently in their homes and communities.
